Gluxolot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

This policy explains what Gluxolot (the "app"), published by Rafael Lima, does with your data. It is written for humans, but it is complete.

Short version

Gluxolot itself does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your progress stays on your phone and there is no account. The app does record anonymous gameplay events through Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can see which levels are too hard. Ads are shown by Google AdMob only between levels — a Google service that may process limited data such as the device's advertising ID, as described below. There are no in-app purchases.

1. Data we collect

We (the developer) never receive data that identifies you. The app does not collect your name, e-mail address, contacts, precise location, photos or files, and it has no tracking SDK of our own. It does record anonymous gameplay analytics and crash diagnostics — see section 4.

  • The app does not require an account and has no sign-in.
  • The app uses the internet for two things: showing ads (Google AdMob), and sending anonymous gameplay analytics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics). See sections 2 and 4.
  • The app does not access contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or files.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows interstitial ads through Google AdMob, and only between levels — never during play. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may process device identifiers such as the advertising ID and coarse ad-performance data. This processing is done by Google under its own privacy policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), the app asks for your consent through the Google consent form before showing ads. Depending on your choice, ads are personalised or non-personalised. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options inside the app.

3. Purchases

The app has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, and we never see or store any payment details. Earlier versions (up to 1.1.7) offered an optional one-time "remove ads" purchase and a yearly supporter subscription; both were discontinued and nothing is sold inside the app any more. A purchase you made earlier remains between you and Google Play, whose refund policy applies.

4. Analytics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics)

From version 1.1.1 the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase so we can see how the game is actually played — which levels players reach, where they get stuck, and which levels get abandoned. We read it only in aggregate, to decide what to fix or rebuild.

  • What is recorded: gameplay events such as a level being started, completed or abandoned, coins collected, where on a level the blob was lost, and which colour or daily challenge was chosen, together with the technical information Firebase collects automatically — an app-instance identifier, device model, operating-system version, approximate country and language.
  • What is never recorded: your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or anything you type. The app has no account, so none of this is tied to a personal identity.
  • Who processes it: Google, under the Firebase privacy and security terms. Event and user data are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically.
  • Advertising: this Firebase project is linked to Google Ads and AdMob, so aggregated audience information may be used to measure and target advertising.
  • Crash reports: from version 1.1.1 the app also uses Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes it sends a diagnostic report — the stack trace, device model, operating-system version and the app version. It contains nothing you typed and nothing that identifies you, and it is used only to find and fix the crash.
  • Your control: where a consent form is required (for example in the EEA and the UK), nothing is collected until you answer it — analytics and crash reporting both stay switched off until then. You can change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy options inside the app; that choice governs analytics, crash reporting and personalised ads alike.

5. Data stored on your device

Your game progress — levels completed, stars earned, best shot counts, onboarding state and settings (sound, music, vibration, language) — is saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves the phone and is not visible to other apps.

You can erase progress at any time from inside the game (Settings → Reset progress). Uninstalling the app deletes it too.

6. Permissions

The app declares these Android permissions:

  • VIBRATE — optional haptic feedback when you launch, stick, pop or win. It can be switched off in Settings.
  • INTERNET — needed to load ads and to send anonymous analytics and crash reports.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — lets Google AdMob use the device's advertising ID, subject to your consent choice; you can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings.

On iPhone and iPad the app needs no special permissions. Before it uses the advertising identifier for ads it shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, the app does not access that identifier.

7. Google Play and the Apple App Store

If you install Gluxolot from Google Play, Google may process data according to its own terms and privacy policy (for example the download itself, or an optional review you write). That processing happens in the Google Play app, not in Gluxolot, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

The same goes for the Apple App Store if you install the iPhone and iPad version: Apple processes data according to Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Children

Gluxolot is suitable for all ages. The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children — the gameplay analytics in section 4 are not tied to any identity — and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). Where consent for personalised ads is absent or cannot be given, only non-personalised ads are shown.

9. Your rights

We (the developer) hold no data that identifies you, so there is nothing personal for us to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf — your progress is under your direct control on your device. The anonymous analytics described in section 4 cannot be traced back to you individually, and Google deletes them after 14 months. Data processed by Google for advertising is controlled through Google: you can change your ad-consent choice in Settings → Privacy options inside the app, and reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings. If you have any question under GDPR, LGPD, CCPA or a similar law, contact us and we will answer.

10. This website

This website (gluxolot.com) is separate from the app and uses Google Analytics — its own measurement stream, not the app's — to see which pages are read and whether people tap through to Google Play. It measures nothing until you accept analytics cookies in the banner: the site loads with Google Consent Mode v2 defaults set to denied, and only analytics_storage is ever granted. If you accept, Google's own _ga and _ga_<id> cookies are set, for up to two years; if you choose "Essential only", no analytics cookie is set and no measurement happens.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under glx-consent and never leaves your browser. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change it at any time; clearing your browser's site data resets it to denied. The site also sets a single cookie (lang) if you choose a language, so the page remembers it; it contains no identifier. No advertising cookies run on this website — the AdMob ads described above are inside the app, not here. The web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and to keep the service running; they are not used for profiling and are deleted routinely.

11. Changes to this policy

If a future version ever adds a feature that needs more data (for example online leaderboards or cloud save), this policy will be updated before that feature ships, the "last updated" date will change, and the app will ask for consent where the law requires it.
